Denmark donates DKK 2 billion to Ukraine

Denmark is donating 2.4 billion Danish kroner to assist Ukraine against Russia, focusing on urgent military support like air defense. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen announced the aid during a NATO meeting in Brussels. The funds also back the long-term build-up of Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Denmark has previously given Ukraine F-16 jets, tanks, and howitzers. The Danish Ukraine fund, with 64.8 billion kroner, has utilized nearly 48.5 billion. Danish aid comes with no usage restrictions, allowing Ukraine to employ weapons even on Russian territory. However, Ukrainian training in Denmark on F-16 jets will cease new year. Denmark also aids Ukraine’s domestic arms production and reconstructive civilian efforts. The donations have full backing from the Danish Parliament.
