Two minors arrested in murder of 13-year-old girl

Two suspects were arrested following the murder of a 13-year-old girl in Hjallerup, Denmark, announced by North Jutland Police near midnight on Tuesday. The suspects are a 17-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. A connection between the deceased and the suspects is confirmed, but the motive remains unspecified. After an emergency call around 10:10 PM about an incident near a heating plant on Gravensgade, the girl was found severely injured and soon declared deceased on the scene. First aid was attempted but unsuccessful. The relatives have been informed. Police have made no statement about charges and it’s unclear if a court hearing is scheduled for Tuesday. Investigations and technical examinations continue, with visible police, emergency services, and home guard presence in Hjallerup, where the incident occurred. Mads Hessellund, acting deputy police inspector overseeing the investigation, views the incident as a tragic isolated event and has appealed for any information that might assist in the investigation.
