Health Ministry: 20 killed in Gaza awaiting aid
According to the Health Ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza, 20 individuals were killed by Israeli forces while waiting for aid. This announcement was made late Thursday by the ministry, with around 155 people reported injured. Conversely, the Israeli military refuted claims that forces fired upon those awaiting aid in Gaza, labeling media reports as incorrect and stating they are seriously analyzing the incident. Initially, the Health Ministry stated 11 deaths and 100 injuries, which was later revised. Mohammed Ghurab, an emergency director at a northern Gaza hospital, described ‘direct shots from occupation forces’ at people awaiting a food truck. The situation in Gaza has become dire, with the UN warning of a potential famine, leading countries to seek new ways to deliver aid, including air drops and a maritime relief corridor. This crisis stems from a Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th, triggering a military response resulting in 30,000 reported deaths in Gaza.
