Fonseca: Talked with Løkke as proof of my truth
Mike Fonseca recorded conversations with top members of the Moderates, including party leader Lars Løkke Rasmussen, due to fears that no one would believe claims that the party tried to buy his parliamentary seat, reports Frihedsbrevet. He stated, “I don’t think anyone would have believed my words without documentation.” A meeting was recorded where he was offered approximately 370,000 kroner, psychological help, and crisis management to resign his seat. This was due to Fonseca’s involvement with a 15-year-old girl, violating the party’s conduct code. The offer was rejected, and Fonseca remains an independent member of parliament. There is ambiguity over who proposed the payout idea, with Fonseca and the Moderates differing in their accounts. Fonseca insists the offer was presented by them, not requested by him.
