Netherlands to Halt F-35 Parts Exports

A Dutch appeals court has directed the halt of F-35 fighter jet parts exports to Israel amid concerns of potential use in violations of humanitarian law. This ruling overturns a previous decision which allowed continued export of these parts. Human rights groups, who fear the components may be used in attacks on Gaza, had appealed the initial verdict. The Dutch government plans to challenge this decision, defending the exports as crucial for Israel‘s defense against regional threats. Similarly, in Denmark, pressure is mounting to cease military exports to Israel, with Amnesty International leading the call for a ban, paralleling the Dutch court’s mandate.
