Royal Unibrew CEO foresees record year in 2024

Royal Unibrew’s turnover in 2024 reached over 15 billion Danish crowns, a 16% increase from the prior year, aligning with their predictions but below analyst expectations. Organic sales growth was 6%. CEO Lars Jensen celebrated 2024 as a milestone, citing the company’s doubled size in four years for increased strength and resilience. Without including acquisitions, beverage sales rose by 5% in volume, an improvement over the previous year’s decline. The operating result grew by 20% to 1.97 billion crowns, yet fell short of the over 2 billion expected by analysts. Looking ahead, the company anticipates a 5-7% growth in net turnover and a 7-13% rise in operating results for 2025. Despite analysts’ higher expectations, a dividend of 15 crowns per share was proposed and a share buyback program of 250 million crowns announced.
