Life imprisonment for assault and Meng murder

Philip Patrick Westh has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the Korsør case involving the murder of 17-year-old Emilie Meng and serious sexual offenses against two other teenage girls. He targeted victims aged 13, 15, and 17 years old, committing prolonged kidnap attempts and violent rape or attempts thereof. Westh only admitted some of the crimes against the 13-year-old. In 2016, Westh killed Emilie Meng while she was returning home from a night out, and discarded her body near Borup, found on Christmas Eve. In another incident, he attacked a 15-year-old girl but fled when she screamed. Last April, he abducted and subjected a 13-year-old girl to grave abuse over 27 hours. The Prosecutor demanded life imprisonment, while the defense called for a fixed term of 16 years. The verdict will be appealed by the defense.
