Health Sector Collective Agreement Reached

On Monday morning, an important piece of the public sector collective agreements puzzle has been put in place for the next two years. The Danish Regions announced in a press release that they have reached a collective agreement with the Health Cartel, which represents eight organizations including nurses. Last week, regions and employee organizations agreed on a total financial framework for wage increases and improved working conditions at 8.8 percent for the upcoming contract period, which includes a 2 percent ‘organization pool’ for negotiating individual group terms over the weekend. The Health Cartel represents 90,000 members, including nurses, dental hygienists, chiropodists, biomedical scientists, and radiographers in both municipal and regional areas.
