Mette Frederiksen endorses Mark Rutte for Nato chief
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has congratulated Mark Rutte on his new role as the upcoming Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (Nato). She expressed her belief that Nato will continue to be the world’s strongest military alliance under Rutte’s leadership. Looking forward to maintaining their close cooperation, Frederiksen acknowledged the shared goals and efforts. Although Frederiksen herself was previously speculated in German media as a potential candidate for the Nato position succeeding Jens Stoltenberg, she has consistently maintained that she was not in contention for the role.
