Greenland: Declare cash from strangers

Greenland’s tax authority reminded citizens to declare all income, including cash received from unknown individuals, after reports emerged of American men distributing U.S. dollars and caps in Nuuk. According to TV 2, these men asked Greenlandic youth if they were excited to become Americans. The tax authority’s statement referenced media stories about residents receiving cash from unnamed people handing out flags, caps, and cash. The tax authority offers assistance to anyone uncertain about these matters. Among the recipients of such cash was the 11-year-old son of Jacob Nordstrøms, who described the act as a ‘disturbing ambush.’ TV 2 identified the men as the Nelk Boys, who run a YouTube channel with over 8 million subscribers and posted online about making ‘Greenland Great Again’ with an image of Donald Trump.
