Both Israel and Iran ready to uphold ceasefire
Iran and Israel both express their commitment to upholding the fragile ceasefire, provided the other party does not violate it. Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, emphasized to the U.S. Defense Secretary that Israel would respect the ceasefire as long as the other side does. Similarly, Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian, assured that Iran would not breach the ceasefire unless Israel does. The ceasefire follows 12 days of airstrikes, with confirmation from both sides. However, shortly after its commencement, accusations arose, with Israel accusing Iran of breaking the agreement, which Iran denied. President Trump criticized both nations for ceasefire violations, particularly criticizing Israel’s actions, which he described as excessive attacks. Trump remarked on the prolonged conflict between the two countries.
