Party proposes law to combat inequality

Enhedslisten proposes an ‘inequality law’ to fight disparity in Denmark, inspired by the climate law. At a press conference, spokesperson Pelle Dragsted highlighted growing inequality, calling for action. The law aims for concrete 10-year targets to lower inequality, mirroring the climate law’s emissions goals. The proposal includes an ‘inequality stop’ for reform balance and the formation of an inequality council to evaluate and recommend on equality progress. Dragsted alluded to tax reform and expanding free social services as further steps. The party insists on a new majority post-election committed to decreasing economic inequality.
