Teenage boy jailed for rape and murder

A 17-year-old boy has been jailed for the rape and murder of a 13-year-old girl in Hjallerup, as determined by the Hjørring Court after an extensive hearing. The teenager, who was apprehended following the discovery of the critically injured girl near a heating plant, is accused of raping, beating her with a brick, and strangling her. Despite denying the rape and murder charges, he admits to causing lethal violence. The court proceedings were closed to the press owing to his age and the ongoing investigation; meanwhile, the victim’s mother initially alerted the police. It’s noted that the victim and the accused had a past romantic relationship. The accused’s remand is valid until April 9 and has been appealed. He will be initially kept at a youth facility, then moved to a prison.
