Famed policeman eyes mayoral seat in Solrød

Kim Kliver, known for his work in high-profile criminal cases including the Emilie Meng case, has announced his candidacy for the mayor of Solrød Municipality representing The Liberal Party. In a statement, Kliver expressed his gratitude for the nomination and hopes to make a difference with his local knowledge, management experience, and humility. Stig Johansen, local party chairman, regards Kliver’s candidacy as a significant asset, aiming to revitalize Solrød as an efficient municipality with a focus on fiscal responsibility, schools, and the community. The current mayor, Emil Blücher from the Liberal Alliance, was elected in 2021. The municipal election is scheduled for November 18.
