Royal Unibrew sales miss due to rainy June

Royal Unibrew reported a slight miss in revenue and operating profit for the second quarter, with actual sales reaching DKK 4,180 million, lower than the expected DKK 4,322 million. Despite bad weather affecting sales, the company asserts that its efforts are proving successful in improving profitability. CEO Lars Jensen remains satisfied with the quarter’s growth, and despite the minor setback, Royal Unibrew has refined its annual revenue forecast to a minimum of DKK 15 billion and now anticipates 14-19% organic growth, up from a previously estimated 9-19%. The second quarter concluded with a profit of DKK 458 million, slightly below the analyst consensus of DKK 466 million.
