Temporary free museum access for youth to foster cultural interest

During the national youth culture week, K7, in week 37, 200 museums across the country will offer free entry to youths aged 18 to 27. Museums such as Aros in Aarhus, Trapholt in Kolding, H.C. Andersen’s House in Odense, and Glyptoteket in Copenhagen will welcome young visitors from September 9 to 15. Launched in 2020 to encourage youth museum visits, K7 tallied 75,000 visits last year. ADBC aims to make cultural spaces a regular part of young people’s lives, now extending offers to five museums in Southern Sweden, including Moderna Museet. The campaign also includes discounted tickets to 25 theaters and eight music venues. Dansk Industri supports the initiative, noting the positive impact culture has on youth mental health. K7 is backed by Copenhagen Municipality and Spar Nord Foundation.
