Zelensky praises Danish war aupport during PM’s visit
During Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen’s visit to Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky extended deep gratitude to Denmark for its unique investment model in weapons production. They held a press briefing at a drone exhibition showcasing Ukraine’s inventiveness, including a drone capable of flying over 1000 kilometers. Denmark has collaborated with all Nordic countries in this model, with over one billion dollars invested so far. Frederiksen brought along one billion Danish kroner from the Ukraine fund to support Ukrainian weapon production, such as drones. She emphasized the inability to specify the exact utilization of funds as they are based on Ukrainian needs. The visit comes on the 1000th day of Russia’s invasion, soon after Ukraine faced intense attacks. Frederiksen suggests that the West can learn much from Ukraine, positioned as a frontline defense against Russia, and stresses that more support can be provided without acknowledging ‘red lines’ which could advantage Russia.
