Consumer confidence still down
Although price increases have been drastically reduced in recent months, they do not seem to be really passing on to consumers. On Monday, Statistics Denmark calculated consumer confidence for October in Denmark to be minus 11.8 – still some way to positive figures reflecting an expectation that the economy is heading for brighter times. Confidence has not moved much in the past five months, when fluctuations have been minimal. However, this is a slight improvement compared to September, when consumer confidence was minus 13.0. The previous low point was in October last year, when consumer confidence was minus 37. /ritzau/
