Covid-19 batch quarantined

The Danish Medicines Agency has quarantined a batch of COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech. Around 57,000 doses of the batch have been used – presumably across all regions, the Danish Medicines Agency says in a press release. The quarantine is being introduced after a possible error in the use of the vaccines was found at some vaccination sites in Region Zealand and at a pharmacy in the Capital Region of Denmark. Bubbles have been observed in the vaccine after it was drawn into the syringe. The DMA stresses that there is no evidence that this has consequences for the efficiency or safety of the vaccine. The quarantine is based on a precautionary principle, the DMA says. /ritzau/
