Spy agency seeks public for secret tasks

The Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE) is publicly seeking individuals and businesses to assist in a range of tasks, both domestically and internationally, with no specific qualifications or skills required. Anja Dalgaard-Nielsen, intelligence chief at FE, mentions a wide array of tasks that must remain secret but includes both ordinary and specialized activities. Dismissing the fanciful superspy image, Dalgaard-Nielsen emphasizes that contributions focus on protecting Denmark rather than pursuing dramatic exploits. While FE has previously posted job listings for specific roles, this broad appeal for civilian cooperation is new. Thorough background checks are conducted on participants, who are referred to as sources rather than spies or agents. Dalgaard-Nielsen highlights that the work is not primarily for monetary compensation but for those willing to support the nation’s safety.
