Copenhagen Airport recovers further from COVID
Copenhagen Airports is drawing closer to pre-pandemic activity levels with a significant increase in profit for 2023. The newly published annual accounts show a revenue of DKK 4.1 billion, up by DKK 529 million from 2022. Pre-tax profit reached DKK 398 million, an increase from DKK 257 million the previous year. Traveler numbers also rose to 26.8 million, approaching the 2019 peak of 30.3 million. Despite not fully recovering, the focus is shifting towards sustainability, digitalization, and people, as stated by chairman Lars Nørby Johansen. A predicted rise in pre-tax profits to DKK 1.15-1.35 billion for the current year is considered realistic, supported by increased flights and higher airport tariffs. The airport’s indebtedness stood at DKK 9.7 billion at year-end, compared to DKK 8.4 billion at the end of 2019.
