Authorities find errors and fraud in 23 kiosks in Copenhagen

In a joint action against kiosks in Copenhagen, authorities found violations in all 23 checked kiosks, with illegal nicotine products, puff bars, and untaxed alcohol discovered. Authorities found 3,736 illegal nicotine pouches and 377 puff bars. Tax Minister Rasmus Stoklund emphasized the unacceptable and cynical disregard for regulations by the kiosks. The control was a coordinated effort by tax, safety, labor, food authorities, and police, focusing on fraud and evasion, particularly concerning tobacco, nicotine, and alcohol. Since April, 69 kiosks have been checked across different actions, with only two without violations. Interior and Health Minister Sophie Løhde criticized the systemic evasion of duties. The latest check resulted in 27 orders and seven fines, with follow-ups planned for suspected black economy activities.
