Denmark creates three new ministries
The Danish government will establish new ministries for European affairs, societal security and preparedness, and the implementation of the green tripartite agreement, as announced by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. The innovative step includes a ministry focused on putting political deals into practice. Key elements of the green tripartite deal include CO2 taxes on agriculture and the establishment of protected nature areas. With Denmark assuming the EU presidency next year, the government also designates a European minister. A new ministry dedicated to societal security aims to protect critical infrastructure. The composition of these ministries will be confirmed soon, with expected ministerial changes. Additionally, all digital matters will be consolidated under one ministry, and Dan Jørgensen is nominated for EU Commissioner.
