Business group fears failure in historic wind tender
Danish Chamber of Commerce is concerned that the recent record-breaking sea windmill tender in Danish waters may be headed towards failure. This worry comes after Andel and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners ended their partnership to bid on the tender. According to the confederation’s deputy director for climate, energy, and environment Ulrich Bang, there is concerning skepticism about the investment appeal of the terms laid out in the tender. Reasons for concern in the wind industry include rising prices for materials, higher interest rates making green energy more expensive, and the new requirement for state ownership in the current sea windmill tender.
