Service for Peace with PM Honors Conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza
On Saturday, a peace service was held at Ribe Cathedral to mark the wars in Ukraine and Gaza with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in attendance. For the third consecutive year, this event brings people together to pray for peace and reconciliation. The focus was primarily on Ukraine as it commemorates the two-year anniversary of the war’s start. Ukrainian clergy, like field priest Sergej Berezhnoj, are also participating, emphasizing the need to protect humanity. Ukraine’s ambassador attended as well, and Jonas Nøddekær of DanChurchAid discussed the urgent need for humanitarian aid and reconstruction in Ukraine.
