Danish top politicians attend Democratic convention
Three top Danish ministers are set to participate in the Democratic Party Convention in Chicago, where Kamala Harris is anticipated to be officially named the party’s presidential candidate. The Foreign Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, and the Defense Minister, Troels Lund Poulsen, are attending as the chairmen of The Moderates and Venstre respectively. Nicolai Wammen, the Finance Minister from the Social Democrats, is also present. Lund Poulsen highlighted that the Democrats are Venstre’s sister party, stating their long tradition of attending the convention. However, he refrained from commenting on the American election outcome, emphasizing that it is up to the American people. Løkke underscored that Danish ministers will collaborate with whichever president the Americans choose. The convention began Monday with a speech from Joe Biden and will conclude with a speech from Kamala Harris on Thursday.
