Slight rise in danish unemployment in february

In February, unemployment in Denmark increased by 600 people, leaving 87,400 fully unemployed. Despite this, economists are not concerned due to the overall low unemployment rate and the strong job market performance. Dansk Metal’s chief economist, Erik Bjørsted, notes the increase is due to more people offering their labor and those unemployed are quickly finding jobs, with only 15,400 long-term unemployed individuals, similar to pre-financial crisis levels. Additionally, Brian Friis Helmer from Arbejdernes Landsbank highlights that the labor market remains strong, with records set in employment and ongoing high demand for labor from companies. Despite uncertainty from potential global trade wars, there is no significant impact on hiring or investments yet, as the economic backdrop remains solid.
