King’s First Trip Abroad to Poland
King Frederik’s inaugural international visit as monarch is to Poland on January 31st – February 2nd, as announced by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Following his and Queen Mary’s succession on January 14th, their first official trip as a royal couple will be to Sweden and Norway, with dates yet to be disclosed. The visit to Poland, planned before the succession, aims to bolster energy efficiency and climate-friendly agricultural production. Despite initial uncertainty about King Frederik’s participation after becoming king, it has been confirmed he will attend. The trip includes key Danish ministers and multiple Danish businesses, focusing on the capital Warsaw and the port city Szczecin. Danish Industry’s CEO Lars Sandahl Sørensen emphasizes the significance of royal involvement for the impact of Danish business promotions, especially in important markets like Poland.
