60 people have been detained after hundreds of anti-Israel protesters stormed an airport in the Russian region of Dagestan, where predominantly Muslims live, on Sunday. Russian state-owned RIA news agency reported on Monday morning, according to Reuters news agency. Protesters stormed the airport on Sunday, where a plane from Israel had just landed. Security forces subsequently closed the airport and removed the protesters. Before the authorities stopped the demonstration, a total of 20 people were injured. The passengers on the flight from Israel all escaped unharmed from the incident, Reuters reported. /ritzau/
