Dane wins world chocolate championship
Time and good ingredients secured Danish chocolate maker Mikkel Friis-Holm seven medals at the International Chocolate Awards World Final in Florence on Sunday. This makes it the tenth consecutive year that he has won the World Cup in chocolate. “It’s a great feeling, and it’s great to be confirmed in the theory I have about quality,” Friis-Holm said. According to him, there is a special reason why he has once again won gold for best chocolate maker. “We spend five days making the chocolate alone. And that’s probably where we’re doing something completely different from what the others are doing. Because they may only spend two or three days,” he says. Although Friis-Holm has won nine times before, this is the first time he has won gold for being the best chocolate maker, making the best dark chocolate and making the best 100 percent pure chocolate. /ritzau/
