Danes using less water

Every Dane used an average of 100 litres of water a day in 2022. Thus, the Danes set a new bottom record when it comes to water consumption, according to the Danish Water and Wastewater Association (Danva) in a press release. One of the explanations is new and more water-saving household appliances in homes, says Danva CEO Carl-Emil Larsen adding: “The focus on high electricity and heating prices in recent years may also have increased awareness of saving water.” Niels Juel /ritzau/
