Queen Margrethe thanks Danish commonwealth

One month after her abdication, Queen Margrethe thanked people across the Danish commonwealth on Instagram. She shared her joy and gratitude for the warmth and attention since her abdication. She showed appreciation for gifts and greetings, which included drawings, baked goods, and songs marking the throne change, and stated these gestures reached her heart. Although she abdicated to her son, King Frederik X, she remains queen and can serve as regent if needed. Her recent activities include an official duty at Prins Henriks Skole and being honored at the Robert-prize ceremony. She signed her three-line abdication declaration on January 14. King Frederik X has prioritized climate change and expressed his heartfelt reaction to the welcoming ceremony at Christiansborg.
