Denmark to fund Patriot systems for Ukraine

The Danish government, as per Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, is willing to financially contribute to countries willing to send their sought-after Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. Denmark does not possess the advanced american system, so they may aid economically instead. Ukraine wants a total of seven Patriot missile systems, one promised by Germany, leaving six needed. Rasmussen emphasized that air defense is currently critical for Ukraine, as they face serious attacks on their energy infrastructure and cities. Volodymyr Zelenskyj, President of Ukraine, insists that Patriots should be operational in Ukrainian hands now, suggesting an urgent need for effective air defense to maintain normalcy and support the front-line battles.
