King’s brief visit to Japan announced
King Frederick and Queen Mary are set to continue their tours with state visits to Finland and France, followed by King Frederick’s solo trip to Japan for an accession visit on April 24th. Accession visits are less formal than state visits, with typically one state visit per country in a monarch’s reign. The royal house reveals no specific agenda yet, only dates. King Frederick will attend Expo 2025 in Osaka during his visit. The king’s travels to Japan come after the couple’s visits to neighboring countries such as Norway, Sweden, and Germany following the throne transition last year.
