Defence Minister on Elbit: Text messages to be included

Text messages from former Defence Minister Jakob Ellemann-Jensen will be included in an upcoming investigation into the process of arms purchases from Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit, according to Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen after a debate with defence spokespeople Thursday evening. “Emails and relevant text messages, if any, will be part of the case,” he says. With the defence spokespeople, the Minister of Defense has discussed what the investigation of the arms procurement process should look like. Troels Lund Poulsen expects the investigation to be completed in the spring. In addition, he says that a proposal for the investigation will be ready next week. “Next week, I will be able to present what I think is needed for us to conduct as broad and impartial an investigation as possible,” he said. /ritzau/
