Danish politicians visit Ukraine amidst major attack
Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, along with other politicians, is in Ukraine following a large-scale Russian attack. The visit comes after reports that over a million Ukrainian citizens are without power due to Russia’s significant strikes against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The duration of the politicians’ stay is unclear, but they will be in the country for the next few days, including the Kyiv area. The trip coincides with Russia’s admission of being at war with Ukraine. Poulsen expressed the palpable reality of the situation after being briefed by PET on security and conveyed his appreciation for the cross-party presence, indicative of Denmark’s political support for Ukraine.
