DK consumer confidence up
In May, consumer confidence in the economy rose for the seventh month in a row, according to according to a statement from Statistics Denmark. According to Brian Friis Helmer, private economist at Arbejdernes Landsbank, this follows the fact that sky-high inflation is coming down. “That said, consumer confidence remains low, but things are moving in the right direction,” he said in a commentary.
For May, consumer confidence landed at minus 15.1 compared to minus 18.2 the month before. Consumers’ black view of the economy set a record low during the autumn of last year. In October, it was minus 37. /ritzau/
