DK to donate more tanks to Ukraine

There are more tanks on their way to Ukraine from Denmark. An additional 45 tanks will now be purchased and donated to Ukraine, according to Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen. The Defence Minister was at a meeting Tuesday at the Ramstein base in Germany, where a large number of countries are coordinating military support to Ukraine. The new tank donation consists of an additional 30 Leopard 1 tanks as well as 15 T-72 tanks. A press release from the Ministry of Defence said the donation of the 15 T-72 tanks was made in cooperation with the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, but funded by Denmark. The 30 Leopard 1 tanks will be donated in collaboration with Germany. /ritzau/
