Danish PM condemns attack on Ukrainian hospital

Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has strongly condemned the Russian attack that hit a children’s hospital among other targets in Ukraine, calling it ‘abhorrent’. According to local authorities, at least 36 people died in the attacks across Ukraine on Monday. The strikes targeted a children’s hospital, another hospital, and several transformer stations in the capital Kyiv. Frederiksen emphasizes the need to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian atrocities. The US President Joe Biden also condemns the attacks, highlighting the devastation at Kyiv’s main children’s hospital as a horrific reminder of Russian brutality. Biden announces the US and NATO will soon reveal new measures to strengthen Ukrainian air defenses, as a NATO summit begins in Washington D.C. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj vows retaliation following the attacks, while Russia claims the strikes were aimed at defense industry targets and air bases.
