Denmark to buy 203 US F-35 missiles

The US State Department approved Denmark’s purchase of up to 203 missiles for its F-35 fighter jets, with US Congress’s approval being the next required step. If unopposed by Congress within 15 days, the sale proceeds. This purchase will bring Danish F-35s to full operational capability as per NATO standards. The missiles, known as Amraam 120D, will be loaded aboard the F-35s bought in 2016 to replace the country’s old F-16s. Some delays in F-35 deliveries due to Lockheed Martin issues lead to Denmark bringing back six jets from the US for training purposes.
