Denmark donates 18 trucks of artillery to Ukraine
Denmark has announced through a press release from the Ministry of Defense that it will purchase and donate 18 Bohdana artillery pieces to Ukraine, which are a Ukrainian copy of the French-developed Caesar system. The weapons, which are trucks equipped with an artillery system, will be delivered in the coming months to aid Ukraine in its defense against Russian invasion. Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen initiated the order directly with the Ukrainian defense industry, ensuring logistical benefits and supporting Ukraine’s defense capabilities. The pieces, valued at 1.2 billion DKK, will come from a fund designated for donations to Ukraine. Denmark had already contributed significantly, including 19 fighter jets and artillery howitzers, with decisions for nearly 43 billion DKK made from a total of 64.8 billion DKK set aside in the Ukraine fund.
