Queen Margrethe appears post fall without neck brace
Queen Margrethe arrived without a neck brace or cast at Christiansborg Palace to present the Ebbe Munck Honor Award 2024 to Margrethe Vestager. She had recently recovered from a fall at Fredensborg Castle in mid-September, which resulted in neck injuries and a fractured left hand. Following her accident, she was hospitalized for a few days. This event marked her first official public appearance since the incident on September 19th. However, during the Icelandic state visit on October 8th, she met the new Icelandic President Halla Tómasdóttir and her husband. Responding to how she felt after the fall, she simply indicated she was ‘fine’. The Royal House did not add further details on her health. The Ebbe Munck Honor Award is given to individuals excelling in areas of Munck’s interest, and Queen Margrethe will next officially attend an event on November 26th.
