Suspect in Viby murder to stay in N. Ireland
A 31-year-old man arrested in Northern Ireland, charged with the 2022 murder in Viby J, is to remain in the country until at least October 11. A court hearing scheduled for Thursday has been postponed at the request of the man’s defense, citing ‘not ready.’ The suspect is accused of killing a 21-year-old man named Søren Koch, who was shot in his car and was an unintended victim. The alleged perpetrator has been internationally sought and was arrested in South Belfast. Denmark seeks his extradition for potential prosecution. Despite the incident occurring over two years ago, the investigation continues, and police are still seeking information from the public. Another man was detained and then released in connection with the case but remains charged.
