Political spokesperson feels misled, demands Minister’s resignation

Conservative political spokesperson, Frederik Bloch Münster, accuses Food Minister Jacob Jensen of misleading parliament on nitrogen emissions from agriculture and deems him unfit for office, calling for his resignation, according to DR. Rigsrevisionen’s report contradicted the presented information, with accusations of falsehood. The Radicals’ agriculture spokesperson, Zenia Stampe, also believes there has been misleading conduct and seeks an explanation from Jensen. Nitrogen emission is key to Danish waters’ oxygen depletion, with farmers agreeing to plant catch crops to absorb nitrogen and reduce emissions by 3,500 tons annually. Due to DR, Parliament has been misinformed in four updates during Jensen’s tenure, with catch crop progress always marked green, implying adherence. Public administration Professor Sten Bønsing notes discrepancies between parliamentary briefings and ministerial knowledge. Minister Jensen acknowledges the criticism and refers further follow-up to Jeppe Bruus, the minister for the green tripartite.
