Report: Hamas had weapons cache near Nyborg, Denmark

According to the German Federal Prosecutor’s Office, the militant Palestinian movement Hamas maintained an underground arsenal near Nyborg in eastern Funen, Denmark, until a few years ago, reports TV 2 Fyn. Ines Peterson from the press service confirmed the existence of at least one firearm in the depot, which they believe was decommissioned approximately two years ago. Four alleged members of Hamas are currently on trial, accused of involvement in these weapons caches, which were said to be intended for attacks on Jewish institutions in Europe. Details about the activation of operatives with residence permits in Europe, tasked with managing these depots, remain unclear. The Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) declined to comment on operational matters. The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, refused to discuss specifics but condemned Hamas’s animosity towards Israel and others.
