Police investigate 3 possible sexual assaults at carnival
Nordjyllands Police are investigating three reported possible rapes during the Aalborg Carnival, according to a press release issued around Saturday midnight. One case involves suspicion of drugging. Vice Police Inspector Lasse Kragh provided an update, noting that while most carnival attendees behaved exemplarily, the event was ongoing with the night still young. Thirteen arrests have been made related to the carnival on various charges, including assault, threats against an officer, and fireworks legislation violations. Additionally, there were nine breaches of public order regulations. Police continue to monitor Jomfru Ane Gade closely and encourage consideration for neighbors during morning parties. Cleanup efforts are underway to ensure clean and accessible streets.
