TV documentary businessman given bankruptcy ban

Martin Malm, featured in TV 2’s documentary ‘The Black Swan,’ has been imposed a bankruptcy ban for three years, as reported by Finans, referencing a judgment from the Maritime and Commercial Court, which came in May after the case started in December 2023. The ban prohibits him from managing a limited liability company. The handling of Malm’s bankrupt estate also led to a police report, and the authorities claim over three million Danish kroner are owed by his company, C. G. Ejendomme, while nine million kroner are claimed by the Tax Authority in another company, Malm Gruppen. Malm was caught on hidden camera explaining how he extracted money from the state through a ‘invoice factory,’ a scheme for fraudulent VAT refunds. Malm has declined to comment to Finans and believes TV 2 does not have the entire picture.
