King Frederik to visit Greenland

King Frederik will travel to Greenland on Monday with Jens-Frederik Nielsen, the leader of Greenland’s government. The royal house stated that in Nuuk, the King will meet with the new Naalakkersuisut, and then proceed to Station Nord with Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, followed by a visit to the Sirius Patrol. Jensen-Frederik Nielsen is also visiting Denmark to discuss the geopolitical situation with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. Nielsen will meet with the Danish Parliament’s Speaker and business representatives. Meanwhile, King Frederik, on a Japan visit, previously expressed his strong connection to Greenland, amidst renewed US interest in the territory.
