On Wednesday, the European Commission presented a series of proposals to increase security in the EU to get a better grip on migration and drug crime. The proposals are not linked to the situation in Israel and Gaza, according to European Commission Vice-President Margaritis Schinas on Wednesday. First of all, the European Commission presented a roadmap to combat drug trafficking and organised crime. The goal is to target entire networks rather than those who sell drugs on the streets. According to EU Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson, this will be done through digital mapping of networks and their funding. /ritzau/
