EU – Eurojust
EU countries are to make it easier to detect cross-border links in terrorism cases, according to the objectives of a new EU law to strengthen the exchange of digital information between national authorities and Eurojust. Eurojust is an EU agency that coordinates cooperation between national authorities in cases of terrorism and serious organised crime. Under the agreement, member states must provide Eurojust with information on all criminal investigations into terrorist offences as soon as cases are referred to the authorities. So far, this has not been done in such a way that there was easy access to the information. It has also not been possible to cross-check information in cases. /ritzau/
